WPC Wood Door Manufacturers Introduces The Maintenance Method For Wooden Doors

WPC Wood Door Manufacturers introduces the maintenance methods for wooden doors:

1. Do not hang heavy items on the door or avoid bumping or scratching sharp objects. When opening or closing the door, do not use excessive force or hit the wooden door.

2. Do not open the door lock with wet hands, or splash corrosive solvents on wooden doors and door locks. Do not use excessive force when opening the door lock or turning the door lock handle. Hinges, door locks, and other frequently-moving hardware accessories should be tightened immediately when they are loose, and oil should be filled in time if there is a sound at the hinge position. When the door lock fails to open, you can add an appropriate amount of pencil lead foam and other lubricants to the keyhole for lubrication.

3. When removing stains on the surface of the wooden door (such as handprints), it can be wetted with air and wiped with a soft cloth. The hard cloth is easy to scratch the surface. If the stain is too heavy, you can use neutral detergent, toothpaste, or a special cleaning agent for furniture. After decontamination, wipe it off immediately (do not rinse with water). Be careful not to place the rag soaked in neutral reagent or water on the surface of the wooden door for a long time, otherwise, it will damage the surface and make the surface finish material discolor or peel off. Do not rub the edges and corners of the wooden door frequently, so as to avoid fading and damage to the finishing materials at the edges and corners. When removing the dust on the wooden door, you can use a vacuum cleaner to remove it without using a soft cotton cloth. In order to maintain the luster and service life of the wooden door surface, it should be cleaned and dusted regularly, and the surface can be maintained with a curing liquid specially designed for wooden decoration products.

4. In spring and winter, keep the indoors well ventilated so that the wooden door is in a normal temperature and humidity environment, to prevent the wooden door from being deformed due to excessive humidity and temperature difference, the corrosion of metal fittings, edge sealing, and the falling off of decorative materials. When using electric heaters or other heating equipment in winter, keep them away from wooden doors to prevent them from being deformed by heat.

5. When painting the wall, cover the wooden door to avoid the peeling and fading of the decorative material of the wooden door, which will affect the overall appearance.

6. In order to maintain the bright color of the wooden door, it should be regularly waxed for maintenance. Due to the characteristics of dry shrinkage and swelling of wood, in the case of large differences in temperature and humidity, such as slight cracking or shrinkage, this is a normal natural phenomenon, do not panic, with seasonal changes, this phenomenon will disappear naturally.
